Star Cruise || Family Outing

So we went to Star Cruise (finally) after much deliberation.

I have never been a fan of the Star Cruise - my impression of it is always aunty-like, boring, or-bit, whatever. But nevertheless, I succumbed to my mom's request cos she sounded so much she wanted to go, and to go with the whole family. So as the eldest, I gave an order to the other 2 siblings that we should commit our time to go for it.

And so I made the arrangements. And off we went.

Good thing it was on balcony class. No way am I going to hide inside those little rooms with no windows anymore. After being spoilt for choices during Business Trips overseas, I'm now really picky when it comes to lodging and I've realised many of my friends are like this too.

So coming back to the cruise... it was a disappointment. Balcony Class passengers do get a 'VIP' treatment in getting priority queue at the customs, boarding the ship was no difference from the rest. And the usual photo taking sessions with those big scary mascots didn't put much smile on my face, as I knew I'd be held ransom to buy them otherwise they'd just throw those pics with my face into dono-where.

And I tell you, those pictures weren't cheap. Not only are there the usual photographs, they've developed them into smaller ones so that it comes in versions of magnetic pic frames, and keychains, etc. All thanks to digital cameras!

Onboard the cruise were the usual suspects - aunties, uncles, children, and the occasional young adults.

Even the food at those 'higher class' restaurants were disappointing.

Asian cruises are really so bleh. I pity those ang mohs who came hoping that it was those like their mediterranean cruises.
