My Half Day as a Singapore(ean) Tourist

It was by chance I went Little India.

Some visiting friends came and it was over dinner that I learnt they were planning to go Little India on Friday and so I volunteered to be their (lousy) guide.

I say I'm lousy because I didn't know the route there, didn't know where to park, and couldn't navigate around there too. We were lucky we had our 'Indian Fan' who is familiar with the area!

It was a pity though that we had limited time there and I couldn't explore too much on my own. I guess now that I am a little more familiar with this place, I shall visit it once more!

Pictures say a thousand words!

 Nice Colourful Lanterns!

There were several similar stores that sold cute little antiques like this.
But our Indian-Fan said the antiques were imitations...

Where we stopped for a beer (or two, or three).
The Mutton Curry was SUPERB!

Their bangles are aplenty, pretty and colourful! Any woman would be spoilt for choice.
Our friend paid a tad too much at another shop... 3 shawls and 3 sets of bangles for
S$300!!!

Many of the tunics were pretty enough as day dress.
Once should look at them, make subtle changes and adapt to your own style!
They reminded me of Phnom Penh's market!

I caught this dress - S$10, but it was too huge.
Ended up having it altered for S$5 and 5 minutes was all I waited!
(the dress shop sold the dress at S$7 in the end, so I paid S$12 in all for the dress)

Tada!
