The August Issue

I never thought I'd do it.

Yes, being featured in some magazine.

The thought itself is enough to scare me, staring right at yourself in a magazine which is widely circulated. The dilemma of whether the magazine should be well circulated or not crept into me.

I'm a over-thinker. So I had thoughts in my head on how it would turn out, what the responses would be.

Nonetheless, I told myself to agree to it - anyway, if I don't do it now, when?

The night before, I was good and selected the clothes I wanted to wear for the shoot. I sent the pictures to the stylist for her selection. After all, I'm just a subject and I'd want to look my best according to her standards.

And this morning, I woke up early to get to the salon to blow my hair. Shoot was at noon. I was lucky they chose a spot at Fullerton which was less crowded. The dress I'd worn was out and I got into a Burgundy shift dress in khaki which I quite liked it (was glad it fitted me well!).

The experience was fun, but stressful too as the Photographer was really professional. He got quite frustrated with me as I kept slouching and was stiff. It was really surprising that he considered me holding my bag as 'STIFF' when I really wasn't at all (and hello, he was like a good 5 metres away from me!)!

Can't wait to see the pictures after ID. The pictures I saw from the camera were really awful. I was plump and had a bloated face!
