Dirty Man, Dirty Hong Kong

We took the MTR to the famous Wong Tai Sin Temple today.

While my family and I were happily talking and waiting for our train to arrive this afternoon, mom got weird and started insisting that we use the antiseptic Dettol wipes immediately. And then there was this man in his 50s, thin and dirty looking, walking past. He was coughing very badly, desperately trying to get the phlegm out from his system.

And guess what he did.

He walked straight to a corner (not too sure if there was a dustbin or not) and spat hard. When he returned back to the platform as the train arrived, with remaining phlegm still dripping from his chin, while he blew his nose straight to the ground - yes, the mucus.

At that instant, I jumped and pulled my parents away and skipped boarding that train. It was a horrifying sight.

The PA system from the MTR stations announced loudly requesting commuters to use a mask if they cough or sneeze. And the first Swine case was detected just short of 24 hours ago.

Oh my gosh, that's disgusting!!! I am sorry to hear that your holiday is slightly distrub by the swine flue in Hongkong. I am due to go to hongkong at the end of the year, probably you could suggest where to go :-)
