There's a replica of Sex and The City everywhere.
I caught the movie after a long delay and glad I did it.
Way before I watched the movie, I'd taken a 'Which Sex and the City Character Are You?' personality test in Facebook and turned out that I'm Miranda Hobbes.
So when the show started, I was anticipating just who this Miranda Hobbes would be like. I couldn't find any similarity at all when she first appeared. Until at the part she couldn't bring herself to forgive her husband over his one night stand (till today, I still think having not enough sex is just not strong enough to be an excuse for disloyalty in a marriage). It was then that I realised just how similar we are - it is just so difficult to forgive and forget.
But just how many people in the world forgives and forgets easily? Well, perhaps if one cares less, then perhaps it would be easier to forgive and forget? Or when the love is just so strong that one chooses to love than to hang on to the unhappiness and therefore forgive and forget - just what Miranda did in the end.
And then there's Carrie. I love her outlook in life, her bubbly nature. I see a little of her in me - not the bubbly part (while I am working on being a happier person) but how eager she was in preparing for her wedding, her love for fashion (for awhile, I really thought she was a Fashion Magazine Editor), and THE WARDROBE.
And there's Charlotte - where she's so happy in her own world and feminine, but can be so fierce when she saw Big. And how she screamed at him and was ever rehearsing her phrase to scold him if she ever met him one day. For a moment, I thought I saw myself when I saw her screaming at Big outside the restaurant.
Lastly, there's Samantha. I guess every woman would want to look attractive to other men and be attracted to attractive men.
I walked out of the cinema thinking of only one thing - how I wish I'd have such strong friendship in my lifetime, being with me through ups and downs. It wasn't the wardrobe, the Manolo Blahnik shoes (hmm.. ok, a teeny bit), but how strong their friendship is over the years.
