There are many reasons why people write blogs. Some use blogs for business purposes, like selling stuff, or showcasing their workds. Because it is easy to maintain, and most importantly, it's free.
Some maintains a blog because it is a good avenue for them to share their thoughts with their friends, and the occassional passers-by.
Some, are exhibitionists, taking the chance to show off to strangers, or whoever they want to show off to, about all the good things that happens to them. (note the word: GOOD THINGS).
So how does one identify that?
Simple. Just read the contents.
One classic Exhibitionist:-
I've been checking out on this blog, she's constantly portraying only the good side of life. Never anything bad, sad, angry. Nothing negative. I'd believe her purpose is to show off to certain people she has in mind, that "Look! I have a better life than you!" or "Look! I'm getting hitched.....to your ex boyfriend!".
I do not follow her blogs very often. But each time I read it, I smirk. Because this is a girl, who is showing off that little victory she has, to the whole world. She is indeed taking pride in her job - a high-flying (literally) waitress cum sanitor cum nanny cum maid. And each time she buys something she deems 'expensive' she would take for all to view, and writes in details just how much is how much, and where she's going, and what she's doing, and especially what she and her new boyfriend (another's ex, mind you) has, was and will be doing.
Oops, I shouldn't bother. It's her business anyway.
