Giuseppe Zanotti

Giuseppe Zanotti - the man who makes beautiful sexy sandals encrusted in nice crystals.

I've been eyeing on his sandals for a long time. Visited On Peddar yesterday and tried on his art pieces. Simply stunning and beautiful! Too bad the price was darn too steep at SGD760 a pair. Maybe, just maybe, I will grab that some day.

For now, I'll just have to settle for a close alternative of Beverly Feldman sandals from London.

As I recall from my previous blog entry:

This is heaven. Imagine this piece of jewellery on your well pedicured feet.

Recently, with much embarrassment, I notice the 'Genny' I've always thought was the brand of the shoes (due to the signature on the shoes) whenever I shop at On Peddar, was never 'Genny', but the well aclaimed, sought-after bejeweled flats - GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI!

Only my fellow Centipedees (or even the upper-rank Millepedees) will understand, the overwhelming warmth, love and happiness when that pair of footwear catches your eyes.

From the olden days, footwear was designed to cover our feet from the harshness of the ground. As we evolve, we've learned that footwear is also an important accessory to our entire outfit. I'm sure many will understand one can never pair slippers with long pants (well, unless you can carry it well to be termed stylish and not Cheena). A pair of stiletto pumps accentuates the entire office outfit (and silhouette) and definitely not your normal pair of open toe sandals.

My love for flats arise from my laidback dressing, cos frankly speaking, while I appreciate the beauty of a pair of stilettos, or even high heels, my back can't withstand the stress arising from it. And I'm certainly not the sort who sacrifises comfort for beauty. So flats, the most comfortable way to spend your weekends in, becomes my top choice.

Now I just can't wait to get my first pair of 'Genny'. It's available at On Peddar, if you want to know where you can get it in Singapore.

:P
