She's Gone

Mrs Lee passed away.

I was having dinner and saw the incoming news flash and I was startled for a moment.

She's a woman I respected a lot - one with a lot of strength and support to give to her and her family.

She's a highly educated woman who chose to stand behind the scene to support the man of her love.

I wish I can have the fortune to do this too, but not many men are appreciative like our MM Lee, in staying with her through thick and thin, even when he succeeded in his career, till the end of their lifetime.

They are what they are because both bothered to put in the effort to grow together. Despite knowing Mrs Lee was a private person, Mr Lee did not put her back home with the kids and maids but still brought her out in all his functions to experience his work and for the public to know her.

I just caught this video about Mrs Lee stopping a media conference just to wipe Mr Lee's forehead. He did not flinch abit nor be embarrassed about that gesture of love. He just let her do it. It was a wonderful expression of how he appreciates her - by accepting it, the way she is.

I admire both of them. And the effort and appreciation they have for each other - till the end of their time.
