Birkins. Japan.

I always enjoy having coffee with this friend of mine who comes by whenever he is free to catch up.

We had an enjoyable catching-up session lately when he came down from Raffles Place to meet me and we talked quite abit about work and aspirations.... and his last trip in Europe and the next in Europe for business trip... then Birkins.

Yes, Birkins.

His female boss loves Birkins and has a collection of them. According to him, Japan stocks the most complete Birkin range, and no queue is needed to get one - it's readily available in the stores. But of course, I would suspect that it is tagged with a premium as compared to those in Europe. But having to wait for 2 years (or more) versus being able to own one at a premium, I'd rather do the latter.

So that brought me to the idea of going to Japan this year end... after all, I've been then to Tokyo only once and for 2 days, so it may be really timely to be there this year end for Christmas.

And yes, it's gonna be 35 (or 30?), in Blue de Presse.  Oh wait... or should I wait till I'm 35 to get it for my birthday?

====================================================

Chanced upon this Japan Website on Birkins .. their retail price is almost double to that of one in Europe. Yen is also much stronger than before compared to the Euros or Pounds, so on second thoughts, I think I'd rather wait for the Europe one. Ah Q "If it's mine, it's mine."
