Ok, my red Ferragamo shoes need help. The colours on the heels came off and the sole's worn out. I'm not the most careful owner on earth, certainly not with my shoes (although I love them). So the heels are often stuck in some ruts, gaps, holes, and they come out scratched, worn and peeled.
It's an unsightly sight. I always raise my brows whenever I see that on others' shoes so imagine when I saw them on MINE.
So off I went to my usual ever dependable cobbler at Raffles Place to get them fixed.
This relationship came along way - as far as 8 years ago when I got my first Prada heels.
It was my favorite pair in stiletto steel heels. I remembered the heels' rubber soles needed a change and I went to the make-shift cobbler to get it done. Not sure if it was the old man's over confidence or just my plain poor luck, the rubber sole somehow got stuck in one and the cobbler just pushed them back to me and didn't want to fix it.
What happened in the next few days was me asking the more professional cobblers for help to get it repaired but failed.
Until Sole-Mann.
They were willing to drill a hole through the stuck rubber so that a new set could be replaced.
Since then, all my shoes - heels, flats, old, new - all get sent to them for servicing.
Right now, my good old Giuseppe are well rested in their A&E - waiting to be stitched up.
