My usual family celebration for our birthdays - cake-cutting 'ceremony'.
This year mom asks if I'd like to eat outside. I told her no. I want home-cook food and my Strawberry Birthday Cake!

Dinner with the girls at Dempsey's House.
Small likes the 'Pumpkin' fries (which we realised later that it was actually sweet potatoes), so we decided to just meet there.
I've come to observe restaurants aren't that important anymore and company is all that matters. Maybe it's because I do not see them as often as before, so venue became second priority.
The warmth of having close friends celebrating birthday with you is something money cannot buy. We'd came a long way and they'd been really supportive and understanding to my nonsense these years. Despite all the squabbles and 'cold wars' we had, we emerged stronger as friends-in-this-lifetime.
I shan't spend time talking about what we ordered, but special mention must go to the lousy lamb I ordered.
Cakes were great though. I got my choices of 3 small cakes - Banana Salted Caramel, Chocolate and Strawberry Shortcake!
