There was alot of hype about mineral make-up. Even your over the counter make-up products are also raving about their new range with minerals.
Apparently, mineral make-up is non-comedogenic, which means that it does not block the pores of the skin. It is good for sensitive skin, allows skin to breath and leaves the skin a very natural radiant glow (this I swear by it as I saw how different my friend looked after she switched to it!).
Most importantly, it has natural UV protection properties so skin is protected throughout the day!
There are of course 2 sides to every claim. While mineral make-up is reported to be pure and natural, there are complaints about two popular ingredients, Bismuth Oxychloride and Mica. For those with negative reactions to mineral make-up, Bismuth is said to be very itchy, causing your face to become red and blotchy. Mica, on the other hand, had claims to cause breakouts.
Now as I'm typing, I am getting a little apprehensive about applying my new mineral make-up tomorrow. Mine is from GloMinerals, a USA product, and bought from a local skin doctor.
Give me some time. And I shall return to tell you about my verdict of these products.
By the way, I got the press powder, loose powder and liquid protective foundation.

Hi Luxe,
I "accidentally" bought a mineral compact powder. I don't even remember what's the brand, but it surely does not clog at all! It's great stuff. Hope you loveee yours too!
