Somehow, there's a sense of relief. Everything's new, so it's natural that it's tougher for most of us. We have to clear the politics and many levels, as well as having to work alongside with our fellow colleagues from other departments who never worked with retail folks. It's a challenge, yes, but none of us is giving up.
I guess it's a real sore loser's thinking to just give up or think one's stretching too much, or even doubting one's ability whenever things get tough. And this also explains why some people are 'high-fliers' while some are just cruising by in their career.
I choose to be the former.
I am really excited and appreciate that I move faster than most of my peers in the corporate ladder without having to play politics or bootlick. With what I have achieved now, I am looking further to achieve greater things in a more bigger role 5 years from now!

phwarh you v good hor, call urself a "high flier"...hahaha
no offense intended =)
You'd have chosen "high-flier" too if you were me: between this and "cruising by"! I was a "cruising by" before this opportunity, I must admit.
But how can my "high-flier" be compared to you who's already a co-owner of an expanding company.
:)
