Removing your mascara

I'm a lazy person. Whenever I remove my make-up, I wish I can just, with a single cotton pad, wipe away all my eye make-up. But any lass who's used eye make-up before knows it's never possible for the very reason: we have TWO eyes.

It's extremely difficult to remove eye-liner make up with mascara. The liquid stain seems to etch itself onto your lashes and eye lids and whenever I remove them, I'd have inverted eye-liner marks on the lower parts of my eyes.

It never really bothered me at first. I just told myself to wipe a few more times and it'll be all gone. There were occasions when I wiped to hard and worried that I'd worsen my undereye condition (I have slight eye bags and dark eye circles).

Until one day, Mr Goh commented about my panda eyes.

"Why is there still stains on your eyes eh?"

That's it.

So now I'm more diligent. I'd use a tissue paper, put it just below my closed eye and rub my lashes sideways with a cotton bud with eye make-up remover. You'd notice the mascara gets inked onto the tissue paper as well as the cotton bud. The tissue paper is there to prevent transferring the mascara onto the under eye area. So if you don't do this, you are actually transferring that blot of mascara to your under eye area, creating that Panda look!

And imagine the built-up overtime if you don't clean it properly!

Oh yes, they also say excessive rubbing of your under eye area can also cause loosening of the skin, causing eye bags.

So ladies, be a little more hardworking. Clean them well!

as i put quite heavy eye make up pretty often when I am dancing, let me share with you the wonders of baby oil as an effective eye make up remover. plus it doesn't drag on undereyes, the oil will even 'moisturise'...

i swear by it! haha
