Murky Mud Hot Stone Massage

House at Dempsey is always my favourite hide-out. It's the familiarity with the people and environment that makes the spa experience even better.

So today, as usual, I went for my treatment. I had thought it was my Sweat Lodge treatment only to realise the treatment is no longer available at House. I heard that they've changed the whole Kaveat Sweat Lodge into an office or something.

This Sweat Lodge treatment is very special. They apply this mineral mud all over your body and put you in a dry sauna for 15 minutes, with your therapist around to hand you a cold towel whenever the heat gets too much for you. After the treatment, skin just glows and feels renewed. It's smooth and silky! It's really a loss to do away with this treatment.

Ok, I digress.

So back to this Murky Mud Hot Stone Massage. I never really like hot stone massage because the last (and only time) I experienced it was not impressive at all. Nonetheless I decided to give it a try since they have already prepared the mineral mud.

What happened after the treatment impressed me.

Skin is smooth as if I had a body scrub after the treatment. Neck felt smooth too, as mineral mud was applied around the area. Massage was also great with the hot stones. Perhaps the skill of the masseuse helped too.

So although I've lost my Kaveat Sweat Lodge, I've been compensated with a similar treatment!
