I've finished reading 3 of the Shopaholic series: Shopaholic Ties The Knot, Shopaholic & Baby and Confessions of a Shopaholic.
I see alot of similarities between us. We both love shopping in every sense - from homeware to fashion, have great husbands who has been patient to play along with our little fantasies. In Confessions of a Shopaholic, I see the same credit problems I had when I first started working. I'd lost control of the cards and my spending habit, and would just pop into those luxury brands 'just to buy something - I MUST'. We both have the same love for everything pretty - from fashion to homewares and furnishing. EVERYTHING.
And in Shopaholic Ties The Knot, I regretted not reading the book before my wedding! I'd have paid more attention for a Thank You gift for our guests, and spent more money to create an evening with more flowers! I was full of nods when I saw just how Luke said the same thing as my husband - that they wouldn't care about the wedding preparations but went along because of US, and how patient both of them were in trying to understand our little whims and fancies.
Well, I love Shopaholic & Baby, and I reckon I'd just be like her when I prepare for pregnancy too, except that well, I doubt I'd go for a celebrity Gynae (unless she is REALLY GOOD, but not for the sake of seeing Celebrities - after all, Singapore's 'celebrities' aren't really at that level) but a good super-duper hospital is a must and I'd bring my own pyjamas when I'm into labour!
I also love Becky's positivities in everything she does and also envy her strong friendship with Suze. Her stories also brought me awareness to the love my parents have showed me ever so often in their ways. Each time after reading the book, I felt really energized and happy. However, one little thing which I couldn't stand was her air-headness, which to me, was a tad too much to bear.
I hope to complete the entire series. I'm hooked.

Haha! Yup, it's a super easy-read and takes my mind off work whenever I read it. I used to always see the books in bookstore but never really bothered until the movie came up. Hee.
