Viewers with NO Choice

Due to some tie-ups, I chanced upon this company which claims to provide the best discounts in town, one of which is petrol at Caltex.

The company is actually a very small company with just a PO Box as its mailing address, and its communications with members (like me) are from their very own Managing Director.

Never mind that it is small, what was most intolerable was their way of communicating with their members and their attitude towards feedback.

First it happened because there were some issues with the bank account and GIRO was affected. They told me my card was suspended and then it was cancelled. When I did nothing since it was cancelled, they told me the card was still in use. To quote the GM, he said "CANCEL = SUSPENSION". I suspect his educational level. (But then again these days, even a housewife can be a GM.)

When I gave them this feedback, they ignored it.

And when I saw they wrote on the statement that they would deduct the outstanding from the account, I took no action.

But lo and behold! They sent me a letter to demand for payment and copied to the HR and the lawyers. In the letter, they threatened me with the Credit Bureau and that my credit worthiness would be affected. They forgot it was their statement who told me they would deduct from the account and when they didn't deduct it themselves, they dared to threaten like some hooligans.

And so, beware my readers. Some savings are just not worth it.

Really. This company is certainly not a viewer's choice.
