Earlier on, I'd heard some major structuring to take place within the department and it could be our very last D&D together. But I didn't expect the news would be firmed up so quickly. Well, perhaps because the decision making is done only by 2 persons.
So when we had a meeting last Friday morning, I was shocked to hear an entire team would be disbanded and located to all other parts of the company. While I acknowledge that it makes business sense to share resources (save costs, minimize job duplicates, etc), it was indeed painful to experience it. The founder of the department had to also be 'regraded' to head a direct job function and no more a department head. In short - the whole department is DISBANDED.
It was just all too coincidental that we would have a D&D on that very same Friday night. And all of us partied real hard as if it was our last.
But I don't think it will be last. To quote my ex boss who said "the party is not over" - it's true. If St James isn't a great place to be at, go Velvet.
Period.

Velvet more fun. Zouk the music no good also. All little children. Wait they are going to use "are you still studying" when they try to chat up with Sista Val again. Hahahahaha!!
I am very sorry to hear that, but I hope in the midst of recession and turmoil, you still be able to enjoy your D&D or wedding!
