Looking Back - Blessings and Contentment

The past 15 days have been the most wonderful moment of my life. Maybe it was considered unfortunate that I lost my BB and phone at the same time, but it did gave me total ease and freedom to forget about work and enjoy my trip.

I've always wanted to visit Europe, but never dared take the action because I have fear of flying. I've had my fair share of fearful stories to tell whenever I am on flights to Taiwan or China for my business trips because I have slight claustrophobia. So when I passed my New Zealand trip of 12 hours flight test, I told myself I was ready.

Flying to Paris and returning from London shares the same flight time of about 12 hours or so, so it wasn't as bad as I thought. Neither was traveling within the cities difficult. Perhaps my hardwork in researching everything paid off, but everything was smooth-sailing. We were glad to have Jac guiding us on taking the Metro since our first day there, and navigating wasn't difficult at all. However, a little difficulty was communicating with most of the French, because they know only very little English, and for us, French.

Nonetheless, the experience of modeling for photoshoots was wonderful and priceless. I am not particularly stunning with great features, and to be able to have 2 very great professionals - Jac and Kelvin to make me look my best are really two great gifts to me. I'm not shy in public when people look at me, thanks to my stage experience, and therefore, the whole process of the photography experience was really wonderful.

I know it hasn't been easy for Sean to face public, taking our shoots, and I am really blessed to have him supporting my decision despite this too. Without all these factors, I wouldn't have what I experienced. And a great THANK YOU!

In the span of these 15 days, we experienced cool, sunny and rainy weathers. Each stop we were at were of totally different feel: Paris - Hip and chic with good shopping; Provence - Quaint, free and relaxing; Nice - Sunny, fun and warm. Lastly in London - ultra warmth thanks to our great hosts Sen & Emily, and the ease in getting around in London City. The constant drizzle didn't dampen our spirits at all, and it made the trip even more memorable.

One extra great gift was also knowing Emily's pregnant! She's been one of my closest friend for 7 years and although we were never in constant contact 5 years of the 7 ever since she's moved to England, I believe we still kept each other close in thoughts. I'm particularly happy because it's been so many years of saying "I will visit you in London" that this year, I finally managed to visit her and her hubby, stayed at her place to experience her life as a Londoner, and receive great news about her pregnancy.

As life returns to Singapore, I look forward to visiting her again very soon (or her coming down attending our wedding) and also hearing the wonderful news of her new born very soon. I've done some calculation - baby should be ready by Feb 09!
