In 2007, there used to be a rumour that someone is going to Private Banking within DBS Bank and fingers were pointed at me. Because of this rumour, I wasn't given the recognition I thought I was expected to receive and my boss would give me that 'traitor' look (or at least that was what I felt then).
Then in 2008, same rumour happened again. First I heard it was someone from the same ROW team, and then people started speculating and then decided ( I wonder who on earth gave them that power to decide) that I was the best choice to be a suspect.
And so darn it, people in office started talking about it and questions came up to me - even while I was far away in France.
I mean, come on guys, get a life and mind your own business. I cannot comprehend why people would bother to spend so much time and effort to 'investigate' and kpoh to find out something, which, in the first place, is non of their business.
I have heard of this rumour probably much earlier than most in the office, but I didn't bother to spend so much time speculating, especially I know it's not going to me.
I hope people can just mind their own business. This is something I realised is so different between an Asian country and a western one. In Singapore, people just like to look / stare / peep at others. Can't you just mind your OWN BUSINESS?!
