I love birthdays. It is one joyous occasion and a great excuse to escape from work and disappear. Not that I do not do that when it's not birthday, but the fact that it is makes it even more legitimate to turn 'naughty'.Maybe because as one ages, those fanciful celebrations are not so much expected anymore. While deep within me there is still a small longing of surprises and gifts, I guess I've come to terms that we've aged and birthdays are just going to be one special day of the year with an intimate celebration.
I started my day with a series of work from home. And then there were calls and emails. I was tempted to ignore, but my nature doesn't allow me to.
And then it was whole day spoiling myself with sinful food, spa, movie and some shopping.
The evening ended with a birthday cake from sis and her surprise pretty dress. Birthday song courtesy of my whole family and Sean.
And not forgetting my youngest brother who remembers my birthday and called from his camp to wish me well!!
