[ friendship ]

Was browsing my girlfriend's blog.

Things she writes about her activities with other friends prompted me to think about our friendship. Do we consider each other as good friends? If so, then why aren't we meeting up often enough?

So are close friends suppose to be meeting each other often, and vice versa.

I don't know.

We used to be 4 close friends sharing activities and meeting up for dinners or luncheons. However, as we move on to further develop our own different careers, our time spent catching up with each other begins to lessen.

Each pair of us are similiar in some ways, and so I was quite closed to the one who's still in banking. But as she gets more busy with her work, and family life, she sort of distant herself away from the group.

Or maybe there wasn't a group to even begin with.

I don't know.

So are we still close / good friends?

I don't know really.

So what are good friends? Can someone tell me?

Ppl come and go. When they left you, be glad for them for they have found new direction/focus in their lives. If they come back to you, be glad for them for they found new directions in you! It's all in the mindset. :)

My definition of friendship is something old school - steadfast and loyal. There is nothing about directions... it's like once you find this friend, both of you click, then it's friends forever, isn't it? Many times we are too caught up with our work that we miss out on alot of good friendships along the way...
