So this is the story.
May knows Jermaine's problems.
And one day, Jermaine asked if May can help her with a solution she has in mind.
May's reply was "See how".
And on the day when she was suppose to relay the solution and confidently thought May would support her, she was in for a big shock.
Apparently, Mrs Teoh has asked if May could help, and May has rejected up front.
Imagine the shock, embarrassment, and disappointment all rolled into one.
Jermaine is an understanding girl. She just needed a trustworthy person to help her solve the problem. And she believes that as true friends, if May wasn't prepared to help because she felt it would be tough, say it out, so that she can think of alternatives and avoid the embarrassment.
So is their friendship true?
Only time will tell.
