Just came back from Perth. Some asked why Perth. I can only say it's for personal reasons. It's not meant as a shopping trip, or my usual business trips. It's just something personal with a specific reason.
Anyway, weather's great there in Perth at this time. The last time I was there, I was driven directly from the Airport to the nice little township in Perth. I had no interaction with the public transport, or shop at Perth City. My 7 plus days in Perth was extended to the whole of WA, and it was a busy little trip stopping by different major towns, catching some sourvenier-shopping at those places, enjoyed the scenic views and enjoyed countryside at Margaret River.
This time it's different. We waited for their shuttle service to hotel, which have been paid, and wasted a good 2 hours to reach the hotel. Quality time was wasted, as the time we touched down, it was almost 12midnight! Shops were closed on their Queen's birthday on Monday (really can't understand why the travel agent didn't warn us about this holiday at all!), and we could only relly on the Han's Cafe streets down for our meals of authentic asian cuisine.
Breakfast everyday was the same. The hotel room was a disappointment, but location was good. Having been spoilt in staying 5 / 6 stars hotel, Citigate was a letdown. The next time I'm there, I'd try the Richardsons.
Thanks to Monday's Public Holiday, we were 'forced' to travel outwards, to Fremantle, enjoyed the place there, and took their public tranport (MRT) back to the hotel. The ferry trip to Fremantle was a great one, with the beautiful views surrounding the Swan River. Houses perched on the hill overlooking the river, water running well and alive, and the wind's great. Our seaview properties here is no where compared to theirs. Ours is more like... LakeView.. haha.
I also enjoyed the trip to the countrys on Wednesday. Not only was the trip fruitful, the scenaries were great. Wild flowers were blooming everywhere, and cattles, sheeps, wonderful!
Shopping.. was disappointing though... and getting around in Perth isn't too difficult after all.
Now.. I'm just looking to buying a little place in Australia to enjoy my Spring and Autumn seasons when I take my breaks. *dream*
